Experienced R.N is seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner position at Primary Care Clinic, Cardiology Practice or Urgent Care Facility following the conferment of her degree.

Per the candidate

I believe that despite being a new graduate, my strong work ethic, positive attitude, and several years of nursing experience will allow me to flourish in this role.  I have always had the desire to care for others, and my Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Pittsburgh allows me to do this on a daily basis. I am currently employed as a registered nurse, where I care for patients as they attempt to restore their cardiovascular health.  I have gained invaluable experience over the last four years in this role. Having met my husband, we have thoroughly enjoyed our time in this community. However, my parents have recently retired and have a home in Greensboro, Georgia, and we are eager to move closer to family.

As a nurse, I focus on enhancing the overall well-being of my patients—not only tending to their physical needs but also providing dignity and support to them and their families.  I am cognizant of a patient’s entire circumstances, collaborating with members of the interdisciplinary team to ensure that their physical, emotional, and spiritual needs are met.  I do my best to turn what is often deemed as the worst part of one’s life – that of sickness – into a positive experience.  I consciously exude passion for my position, as well as my Christian faith, with hopes that I transform and lift the attitudes of my peers as well as my patients.  I am confident in my abilities to advocate for patients’ rights, wants, and needs, and I have demonstrated that I work efficiently and respectfully with interdisciplinary professionals. I also have the privilege of educating patients on the best health promotion practices, in order to prevent commodities and complications, rather than treating symptoms retrospectively.

The position of a nurse practitioner offers a wider range of challenges than that of a staff nurse, but an unlimited potential for reward. To work as a leader in a primary care, Cardiology or Urgent Care would fulfill my passion for managing all aspects of a patient’s health.  I take great pride in my future role as a nurse practitioner and the opportunity it offers to make a positive impact in the lives of diverse individuals every day.

My husband and I would love to be within 4-5 hours of Athens, GA, where my parents are retiring. Therefore, I’d consider jobs in North and South Carolina, Georgia, or Tennessee!  I also grew up in Georgia, so I’m very familiar with the area.
