Per the provider:
I currently live on the south side of Smyrna, close to the Mableton/Smyrna border. I do not want my commute to exceed 30-40 minutes with traffic, but I would be willing to move for the right position in dermatology or primary care.
Through my experience in primary care. I have been equipped to comfortably identify and treat common skin disorders to include newborn rashes, eczema, psoriasis, acne vulgaris, hidradenitis suppurativa, impetigo, scabies, contact dermatitis, seborrhea, a variety of tineas (capitis, corporis, cruris, pedis, versicolor), onychomycosis, viral exanthems, milluscum contagiosum, verruca, vulgaris, coxsackievirus A16, congenital nevi and identify the dermatologic manifestations of neurofirbromatosis type 1. Additionally, I have trained in a variety of surgical settings including general surgery, orthopedics, obstetrics and gynecology, and emergency medicine. During the thousands of hours of clinical rotations, I had the opportunity to first assist, close surgical incisions and learn basic wound care. I also became proficient performing incision and drainage’s of abscesses and laceration repair via suturing and stapling. My skill set includes simple interrupted and running stitches, vertical and horizontal mattress techniques, and removal of both sutures and staples. Training to assist during MOHS surgeries and learning to perform cosmetic procedures are both interests of mine.
I don’t have specialty experience in dermatology, but I have become very comfortable with common diagnoses and treatments through the experience I have in pediatrics. I highlighted some of those in the cover letter. I also mentioned the experience in several surgical settings. Though I don’t currently have derm specific training, I’m very coach-able and am a quick learner. This could be viewed as an advantage, because I could be trained specific to the other providers’ preferences, without having previous methods, habits, etc. I’m passionate about dermatology and willing to learn!
Team Player and a super nice lady who is ready to interview & sign!
