Per Physician:
I am board certified in the specialties of emergency medicine and preventive medicine and I have extensive experience as a primary care physician. I have had the opportunity to work for ten years as a government medical officer and I have had the honor of serving as a military physician in the US Air Force Reserve. In addition, I recently acquired the home that belonged to my parents and my grandparents in Santa Rosa Beach, Florida. My wife and I will soon make it our permanent residence.
For the past four years I have been the Director of Clinical Preventive Medicine at a major medical center affiliated with the University of Texas. Among other duties, my current work includes providing primary medical care and urgent medical care at the University Primary Care Clinic. Before becoming employed at the university, my career involved caring for astronauts and their families at the NASA Johnson Space Center flight medicine clinic, providing medical care in Russia for Americans assigned to work near Moscow, and working as an emergency medicine physician for a private company. Among my work experiences, I also served as Assistant Director of the Primary Care Outpatient Clinic System for the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston where I came to appreciate all aspects of providing primary care in a large system.
