Bangor area: We seek an experienced Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join the terrific staff of an award-winning Federally Qualified Health Center in scenic north-central Maine, just 45 minutes from Bangor. With 120+ employees, this community health center serves 24,000 residents in 19 towns, providing primary care, walk-in care, occupational health, pre-natal care, podiatry, behavioral health, dental care, school-based health and patient education services in 6 locations. With federal grant funding, a sliding fee scale helps underserved patients.
You are invited to join an established team in an upbeat, collaborative setting providing walk-in primary care and urgent care services to patients of all ages. This program, for unscheduled care, launched five years ago and is immensely popular. They schedule with double-coverage – so, two providers are always on duty. You will see a wide variety of cases including urgent care patients of relatively low acuity. We need an experienced advanced practice provider who is ready to see patients independently from the start.
Enjoy a convenient schedule of three 12-hour shifts per week! You will practice in a beautiful 28,000 sq. ft. healthcare complex in downtown – a bright, modern facility with up-to-date technology, on-site radiology/lab, and fully integrated EMR. The walk-in center is open Mon-Fri, 7AM-7PM. You may have the option to pick up additional shifts for additional cash.
