TWO – 2023 GENERAL SURGERY CANDIDATES ARE READY TO INTERVIEW & SIGN!

Candidate: F.R.DO
This Osteopathic physician will complete his ACGME accredited General Surgery residency in July 2023.  He is seeking private practice or hospital employment which will allow him to practice in the full spectrum of General Surgery.  Approximate age is 35.  He is married and his wife works remotely.  No children at this time.  They are both originally from Chicago, but have family and friends in the metro Birmingham area.  Hence, Birmingham is their top priority.  He will be available in August/September 2023.  He currently has an offer in Huntsville, but he is not pleased with it.  If AL does not work out, he will consider other southeastern states, as well as, mid-Atlantic/upper east coastal states, and AZ or CO.  No to Chicago.

Candidate: A.W.MD
This 2023 General Surgery residency graduate is seeking an employed opportunity which will allow him to perform the full spectrum of “rural” General Surgery cases.  He is not interested in Trauma.  While he prefers private practice, he will consider hospital employment if the opportunity meets his objectives.  He prefers smaller hospitals of 300 beds or less.  Approximate age is 31.  He has a girlfriend and hopes to become engaged in the next few weeks/months.  He is originally from AL and wishes to be near family.  If such opportunities are not available, he will remain focused on the southeast.  He will be available in August/September 2023 and anticipates taking his board exams within a month or two after completing the residency.
